Returning to Emptiness

Returning to Emptiness draws from a Buddhist view of existence. Human life begins in the realm of form, where we strive to survive, to appear, and to be recognized. Over time, these forms soften and dissolve. What remains is not absence, but essence: a return to the source, where the self releases its weight and becomes a single point of light within the vastness of the universe.

#1. Pausing horse

Against a rose-red ground marked with life's symbols, a green horse pauses, listening inward, reclaiming a moment of quiet presence.

#2. Angel

An angel horse lifts the self above judgment and noise. Below, a young foal watches, the soul in its earliest form, learning to rise toward its own light.

#3. Two Jesters

Two jester horses move through life’s circus as others rush to choose sides. At the center, an inner eye stays still , reminding us that clarity comes only from the observer’s stance.

#4. King & Queen

Within the frame they perform royalty; beyond it, they return to themselves. Freedom begins the moment they step out of character and into the red heels.

#5. The Zebra

A quiet farewell to the drifting clouds that pull the mind back into the past, into loops of memory and unspoken ‘what ifs.’

#6. Dark side & Bright side

Each being, in darkness or in brilliance, plays a private game with destiny.
